JUSTBy: the truth | Thursday , 8 Jan '09 18:29:22 PM Reply | Forward Absolutely just demands... psu companies pay paltry wages as compared to private firms.. and recent 6th pay commision extended to all govt employees has not been affected in full in PSUs.. i have full sympathy for the cause and respect those technocrats who have been arrested/suspended for larger cause
FAVOURING PRIVATE PLAYERSBy: PRAVEN | Thursday , 8 Jan '09 12:42:34 PM Reply | Forward oil sector employes have ben forced to go on strike for their genuine demands by the adament atitude of minsitry of petroleum. they infact are favouring private players of oil sector as private oil sector are drawing good amount of quality manpower from these oil PSUs. If pay hike of oil PSUs is good, where from these bloody private oil companies wil get experianced manpower ?
OSOAs geninune demandBy: Pradeep Kumar Choudhary | Thursday , 8 Jan '09 9:31:34 AM Reply | Forward I have full sympathy towards striking oil sector officers. I am ex. ONGCian and my plight from ONGC was mainly due to meagre salary package as compare to MNCs. In this country anyone can go for strike like Air India, SBI, Insurance sector, political parties (calling bandhs, jamsetc.). But when oil sector call for strike, it becomes illegal. why this descrimination happen. Oil sector employees called strike for their geninnue demands. OIl companies have already suffered heavily because of brain drain due to the same reasons. If wrongness is not corrected now the companies may go in red in future. I request to beaurocrats not to misguide goernment and give priority to countrys interest rather then adhockism policy. In the last I wish to Amit Kumar
Treat OIL PSU strike in line with Terrorism in IndiaBy: A Welwisher | Thursday , 8 Jan '09 5:56:47 AM Reply | Forward The strike should be compared with Terrorism. Government should deal with iron hand and treat the agitating officers in the same way as any other terrorist in the Country is dealt. They dont work, steal with every drop of fuel coming out of Depots/terminals, steal in every contract, the bosses in these PSUs treat cultured employees and educated employees with hate!!!! Government should take stern steps against the agitating officers and set an example that joining an Oil PSU does not guarantee he can hold the country to ransom.
reply to the comment of A welwisherBy: s. mukherjee | Friday , 9 Jan '09 13:55:07 PM Reply | Forward Mr. A welwisher! You stink! You do not even know how to spell the word 'wellwisher' and you have the temerity to actually comment on the PSU officials. Well, the fact that the economy of this country has not gone under and you are still getting two regular meals a day and have enough time on your hands to comment on PSU officers is because the PSUs have kept working with ethics and zeal and honest hard work and have contributed to the economic well being of this country. Understand, you nitwit?

Let him check the competencies and work done and ethics and compare with any other Central or state govt officer.. he will know the difference. The demands are absolutely just...
