Pak shouldn't follow teams with begging bowl: Afridi

Karachi: Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi has urged not to get disappointed as India is not only team in the world to play cricket as there are many other teams who are willing to tour Pakistan. “Pakistan or we could play in their place, so we need not to follow particular team with begging bowl,” Af  ....Read more

Cant expect better !!!By: Rajan Sharma | Thursday , 30 Apr '09 12:37:20 PM Reply | Forward Afridi is a good batsman. This does not mean that we expect him to be a wise man also. Pak is, presently, good for nothing. They are responsible for the situation in Afghanistan, situation in Palestine and situation all over the world. All mindless people got togeather and formed Pak.
Clean your house first, then invite guests!By: Raman Sharma | Thursday , 30 Apr '09 9:28:32 AM Reply | Forward Mr. Afridi, For God's sake, speak sense. Make sure that the things normalize in your country before you invite others to play. What example have you set in front of world by inviting Sri Lanka team and showing total failure and inability for their security. And on what grounds are you giving these mindless statements? Be sane and give some thought before you speak. Else better you shut your mouth.
Cancellation of PakistanBy: gagan | Monday , 22 Dec '08 11:29:38 AM Reply | Forward Mumbai blasts have hit each and every citizen of this country. Also cricket is in the hearts of each Indian. Now was it appropriate to tour Pakistan when majority of those who will watch those matches would feel more dejected while seeing there cricketing heroes playing in hostile nation. It would have been very insensitive on part of BCCI to tour Pakistan in this situation. But some of us will say 'sport has no religion and should not be mixed with politics and rather cricket should be used to ease tention between two countries'. My answer to those is why only cricket there are lot many other ways to ease tention but is Pakistan doing enough and doing enough to ease tention except this outcry on cancellation of tour. More importantly is is practically not possible to go on war with pakistan atleast now. So only diplomatic pressure is the wayout. And if we would have went on with our cricket tour, it would have been very very demotivating for those who trying put diplomatic pressure on Pak. So decision of cancellation is appreciable.

India tour to PAKISTANBy: Varun | Sunday , 21 Dec '08 0:04:25 AM Reply | Forward this is an unbelievable comments by the former test cricketer Shafqat Rana. it does not matter that whether sports are mixed with politics or not. but what does matter is that Pakistan is not giving any Interest in destroying any of the terrorist camps which threats their country as well. so how can this country give a pure 100% security to the Indian team. Srilanka is willing to play a match against Pakistan due to the fact that they will be PAID $1.2 million by PCB for there emmergeny appearance to play. this is just stupid and random because PAKISTAN is facing problems related economy of Pakistan. so why are they giving so much to outsiders. they should help their country to develop rather than spending ridiculous amount to the team SL.
INDIA - PAKISTANBy: Khan | Saturday , 20 Dec '08 20:21:40 PM Reply | Forward you lot are still linking cricket to politics, it (mumbai attacks) shouldnt effect the cricket. also the indian government first "found" that the "terrorists" were of "british pakistani decsent" and then the rubbished the reports then they found that they were pakistani born AND THEN they found that they were Indian born who went to Pakistan for training! Pakistan is a very nice country I have visited it many times! there are flaws everywhere you go, yet again this shouldnt effect the sports! India should have shown courage by going to Pakistan. Pakistan have been strong and tried to link peace with India. India should get to the bottom of the reports of the attacks then blame someone not straight away!
hi khanBy: rishi | Tuesday , 23 Dec '08 12:00:24 PM Reply | Forward still pak is not accepting kasab is a pakistani. u r talking abt initial identification problems n investigation? you pak supporters needs to be killed first in air strke!!
Afridi's childish commentsBy: kalidas. | Saturday , 20 Dec '08 10:57:51 AM Reply | Forward I totally agree with Mr. Harpreet's statements. Mr. Shah's views do sound like a fanatic. He needs to learn a bit of History. India is totally a Hindu country. The first Muslim country to invade India was Turkey in the 6th century. From then , it has been ac regular task for them to come and settle down, and claim ownership of the land. Instead of concentrating on developing their own country, Pakistan spends time and money to try and halt India's progress. Why don't they spend all this time and money they spend on Jihad in India and anywhere else, on efforts to develop their own country. Mr. Jinnah who asked for Pakistan should have taught them to be civilised. They got their own country, what else do they need?
begging bowlBy: Senthil | Saturday , 20 Dec '08 10:46:22 AM Reply | Forward I don't know how PCB inducted javed Mainded, having a direct relationship with Dawood, the all time terrorist india needed.apart from cricket india should cancell all its ties with pakistan, and there should be no connection with pakistan.but the poor india, always need crude oil, for which they need to bend with islamic nations, in turn saluting pakistan.
Afridi-Dawood-CricketBy: s ramji | Saturday , 20 Dec '08 9:18:36 AM Reply | Forward Afridi, you are wrong in comparing England India tour with that of India Pakistan tour. The mumbai attacks were neither done by England or India Terrorists. Its from Pakistan and it is clear beyond doubt to everyone except the Pakistanis. Dawood is a noted Smugler and Terrorists and everyone knows he lives in Karachi-Your Criket brother is married to Dawoods daughter. Probably after sometime we can expect 11 pakistani terrorists to come to india in the name of cricket - Better avoid playing with Pakistan until they handover Dawood and all noted Terrorists. Afridi your countrymen has already seen the damages these terrorists are making in Pakistan - Days are not far off when your army will have to fight war on these terrorists in your own country. Merry cricket pratice till your country really does the needful.
Reply to Mr.ShahBy: Raj | Saturday , 20 Dec '08 1:59:18 AM Reply | Forward Mr.Harpreet I congratulate you for putting the facts together exquisitely. I think its not Mr.Shah's problem, the problem is with the country "Pakistan"itself..a terrorist state, living out of US dole for years, shattered economy, extereme poverty, Illiteracy, fanatism, lack of credible leadership and governance tc etc. Afridi has made a extremely bold comment..does he realise that what he will make from one season of ILP is equivalent to his 3 years( if not more) of pay check from PCB...also who is Afridi, whats his credentials as a player? as an individual? the guy cant even speak a word of english properly. I strongly recoomend BCCI should ban all Pakistani players in ILP, Bollywood should exclude all Pakistani nationals and no Indian visas given to any pakistani..let me se then who goes begging?
A very naive Afridi, Imran, Miandad and all other pak cricketersBy: Srini | Saturday , 20 Dec '08 1:50:31 AM Reply | Forward These Pak cricketers cannot say that since England came back to India, on the same token India should have played in Pakistan. They have to understand that England came back because India like them were victins of Pak bred terrorism. India should ban all Pak players from IPL as well.
