intelligence faliureBy: AASHISH OBEROI | Sunday , 16 Aug '09 20:59:14 PM Reply | Forward I QIUTE AGREE WITH GEN MALIK THAT THE TRUTH IS FINALLY OUT AND NAWAZ SHARIF WAS ALWAYS INVOLVED IN THE KARGIL OPERATION. WHAT I FIND DIFFICULT TO COMPREHEND IS THE FACT THAT THERE WAS A COMPLETE INTELLIGENCE FAILIURE FROM THE INDIAN SIDE. ONE WOULD ONLY LIKE TO HOPE AND PRAY THAT CORRECTIVE MEASURES HAVE BEEN TAKEN. I AM ALSO OF THE OPINION THAT WE NEED TO ENHANCE OUR CONVENTIONAL MILITARY SUPERIORTY, IT MIGHT THEN DETER THE PAKISTANI ARMY TO LAUNCH AN OPERATION SIMILAR TO KARGIL.
