Party got shoe, Tytler, Sajjan the boot

New Delhi: A rattled Congress today withdrew leaders Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar from the electoral fray as the ghost of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots returned to haunt the party. Not wanting to alienate the Sikhs on the eve of general elections, the Congress leadership decided to withdraw both leaders fol  ....Read more

THEY DON'T THROW SHOES IN KERALABy: R.Sajan | Monday , 13 Apr '09 12:55:59 PM Reply | Forward In literate Kerala, they do not throw Chappals; though ‘throwing things’ has been procedure during strikes and daily Bandhs. As usual, the CPM, the biggest Party, showed the way. For years, striking or agitating CPM guys have thrown things at non-participants. They do not throw shoes [few wear shoes] or chappals though, because both are costly. Instead, they throw human excreta on the enemies. Striking government employees and teachers use nothing else, because they are educated, perhaps. Even a State H R Commission member that took action against some CPM civil servants woke up one morning to find his entire house painted with human excreta. The Police refused to collect the material evidence and the investigations were a non-starter. CPM cadres often rough up journalists that they do not like, everywhere. So far, the journos have been protesting it by protest march-ing. One hopes the 'model state’ media men would not now use the favourite Kerala material against CPM politicians.
Boot the politiciansBy: Anant | Sunday , 12 Apr '09 16:13:46 PM Reply | Forward I don't understand why the people of India call anti-sikh or anti-muslim riots. All the incidents whether it is 1984 or 2002 are all state sponsored terrorism. Public of India still gets fooled by the politicians and accept the blame upon themselves by calling the incidents as riots. Public just gets used. Is it not the time to get wise to the games politicians play? As far as I am concerned there is hardly any difference between BJP or Congress. They both use the public and law enforcement agencies to do their dirty deeds. I suppose people deserve the government they choose. End of the day people of India have to get wise.
Tytler and Sajjan should be hanged to deathBy: KI | Friday , 10 Apr '09 19:33:32 PM Reply | Forward By dropping Jagdish Tytlor and Sajjan Kumar, Congress has accepted that it is solely responsible for 1984 Anti Sikh riots and murder of 5000 sikhs. Congress is anti Sikh and Anti Hindu and has done nothing for Hindus and sikhs. Congress is a party of pro muslim bastuds who want to bring muslim rule in India.Dropping Tytlor and Sajjan Kumar form elections is not enough. They should be Hanged to death for their crimes in 1984 riots. CBI is a puppet of ruling congress party and have given clean chits to Tytlor and Sajjan under congress rule. Its time that Hindus and Sikhs unite and vote against Congress to punish congress for murders of Hindus and Sikhs. Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytlor should be hanged to death. Vote against Congress will bring end to Anti nation Gandhi-Nehru family.

Opportunistic CongressBy: Keith | Friday , 10 Apr '09 9:55:03 AM Reply | Forward Well well the shoe that was meant for PC hit Tytler. And what do you expect from a party that is thrives of thievery, corruption, opportunism, where are all the Congress bigwigs who were supporting that murderer and inciter when the CBI pardoned him?? How come he is now an untouchable as soon as the public reacted. Someone needs to ask this question..... Mrs Congress how can we trust you when all that you are seeking are your own selfish ends and are willing to sacrifice even that last thread of decency to achieve it....??
Why?By: Road | Friday , 10 Apr '09 9:50:06 AM Reply | Forward All of you criticising the Congress are from a certain section of the hypocritical urban middle class. There is no good in the BJP either. I could name a hundred names there but I will refrain for I know your reaction, or defensiveness, will only go to prove just how insecure you are in your class of politics. So, when the elections come around, I might not be voting FOR a party but I know who I will be voting against.
