Soumya Vishwanathan work left behindBy: Satheesh | Monday , 6 Oct '08 20:45:22 PM Reply | Forward Dear Journalist do you realy feel pity on Soumya Vishwanathan then track her killers. why there is no media investigation like in Anushya murder.
remrks were blown...By: v inay | Monday , 6 Oct '08 16:29:09 PM Reply | Forward chief minister is correct. one has to take care of himself or herself particularly during night travel more so in most of the northern states it is true.
The good old Blame game starts again...By: B | Monday , 6 Oct '08 13:26:36 PM Reply | Forward Its really disappointing to hear a CM that too a women making such irresponsible comments... Don’t women have a right to a career of their choice? Is it our fault that the Govt cannot provide a safe environment for women to work in? Instead of addressing the issues of safety for working women, the CM seems to want all working women to be limited in their choice of career...what happened to equal work opportunities for both sexes? Instead of trying to push the blame onto the employers or someone else it would be better for the CM to ensure that the implementation of laws are stronger
Remarks were blown out of proportion: Sheila DikshitBy: Dr. F.S.K. Barar | Monday , 6 Oct '08 9:16:02 AM Reply | Forward Sheila Dikshit must think before uttering such abnoxious remarks on the security status in her state. Security seems to be at its lowest ebb in the capital of the country. The matter has not been blown out of proportion by the media, but it is a dose for her to mind her casual ways in dealing with serious problems conrontted by the citizens of Delhi. Now it is no use crying loud over spilt milk. It is time for her administration to tighten its belt to deal with law and order situations in a tough manner so as to avoid such occurances. To manage an explosive state like Delhi is no bed of roses. On introspection if she feels that she is unable to perform she should garcefully make way for a suitable alternative.Hope good sense prevails in the interest of the citezens of Delhi.
capital unsafeBy: Avinash | Monday , 6 Oct '08 5:59:14 AM Reply | Forward instead of putting efforts to make our capital safe 24/7. The CM is says city is not safe after 9 or 12. this clearly indicates there no resolve of working todards the progress oif the city..then country.... its high time a citi where VVIP moving arounf 24/7 is not safe at night.question should be what is being done to make the place we live more safer?
Law By: Chandra | Sunday , 5 Oct '08 22:39:46 PM Reply | Forward Sheila Dixit admits that the law and order situation in Delhi is not under control. If she is incapable of restoring the law and order, she should resign and handover the job to someone capable of doing it.
CM's commentBy: prashant | Sunday , 5 Oct '08 19:43:04 PM Reply | Forward It is not eomployer's job it provide security. It is police and states job to protect the lives and property of the citizens of the country and that is why they pay you taxes. If we need to get private security for everyone then there is no need of state police and in that effect, government itself. The constitution promises people security and it is states primary responsibility. If the government is unable to do there job, they should quit and let other competant people take this job.
Once again?By: Anupam Gupta | Sunday , 5 Oct '08 19:33:42 PM Reply | Forward Hmmmmm. What Next Mrs Dikshit? A personal bulletproof to protect oneself and a heavy bankbalance to bribe the policemen on duty. You should be ashamed of yourself. Why, why in the Congress everyone has to open their mouth to dispel the doubt whether they are incompetent. Mrs Dikshit keep mum and have the benefit of doubt....
Unsafe Delhi filled with predatorsBy: Rohan | Sunday , 5 Oct '08 19:27:17 PM Reply | Forward Why can't she just apologize? It is for the state to make sure its citizens are safe. Safety doesn't mean, stay at home but safe streets.
Completely Agree with CM !By: Secular | Sunday , 5 Oct '08 17:33:27 PM Reply | Forward It is horryfying that people have criticised completely justified statement of the CM. Would you send your daughter or wife or sister at 3 in the morning without escort ? If she insisted, would you not have called her adventurous ? In the cacophony of voices to remain 'politically correct', the voice of reason gets drowned. This is dangerous.
