White paper on Lalu's Railway regimeBy: V.Sethumadhavan | Thursday , 9 Jul '09 18:04:54 PM Reply | Forward The ministers and M.Ps should remember that they are first the wings of the Government and not politicians only. The members of the house should work in unision for the development of the country for which they have been elected by the citizens of the country and not waste publicmoney and time in a street brawl in the house. Let Mamta first utilise the valuable time and money at her disposal to first ascertain immediate needs of the common man and work for the improvements which are needed immediately. Some examples are overcrowding of trains, bad hygine in the trains and railway stations, corruption, rude behavior of the railway staff, impartial allocation of funds for development of amenities to the states, etc. After she does her job fully,, and if she finds time, let her bring out any number of papers in any number of colours.
RJD launches White Paper offensive with Rly red blotsBy: darvan | Thursday , 9 Jul '09 11:02:28 AM Reply | Forward Runing India Railways like Lalu Prasad did,is a legacy Mamta Banerji and others in the Lok Sabha must take a bow before him. Engineering a non-performing asset to a profitable business doesnot need a harvard degree. He has paved the way for Passenger traffic to ride on the earnings of the Goods traffic, a legacy, Mamta Banerji should capitalise on instead of MPs carping on ulterior motives. A dedicated Goods Corridor North/south is a No.1 priority to the current Lok sabha . Long term plans for Raiway efficiencies in Freight, and then Passenger is priority as important as the defence of India. One should always look at revenues from Freight that subsidise the Passenger. Not implying the the passenger is to be ignored. Ticketting efficiencies,a challenge Mamta Banerji could meet head on, and be glorified next election.
