Shane Warne and his romantics will be missed

The Rajasthan Royals are out of the IPL but they over-achieved. And I am actually quite sad to see them go. It didn’t matter who was in their side or indeed, who was in the opposition, the eye and the heart followed them. An oddball collection of talents led by a magnificent, ageing general, th  ....Read more

great players to remember By: pal | Saturday , 23 May '09 8:00:20 AM Reply | Forward 1) WARNE, GILCRIST, HAYDEN , SYMONDS, ARE GREATS. OUR TEAMS HAVE TO LEARN FROM THEM
Cheesy as usualBy: Assad | Saturday , 23 May '09 5:45:08 AM Reply | Forward Harsha do us a favour and stop writing your cheesy articles. Nobobody except you stuck-up commentators gives a hoot about this IPL.. If you have have to write, at least write something worthwhile instead of the cheesy, mushy-mushy nonsesnse that you keep annoying everyone with..
RajasthanBy: someguy | Saturday , 23 May '09 1:28:47 AM Reply | Forward Mr Jay, these "mediocre" players managed to beat all the teams in the tournament barring Chennai. They won the cup last year losing just three games. So if these "desert rats" could do all this, what does that say about the other teams?
brilliantBy: someguy | Saturday , 23 May '09 1:10:06 AM Reply | Forward Amazing article. The only thing that made them achieve so much is Warne and the spirit of his team. It should make other teams think about their achievements. RR were handicapped this year. But come next year, hopefully they'll be back at full strength with warnie leading them to reclaim the trophy.

RR's and awesome Harsha!By: Ruchi | Friday , 22 May '09 23:00:13 PM Reply | Forward Oh yeah! Very aptly put. I will so miss Warnie! And Mr. Bhogle, you are the best commentator in the world. Just die to hear you speak. You are one articulate and nice bloke. Keep up the good work.
Very True By: Prasanth | Friday , 22 May '09 16:54:48 PM Reply | Forward The moniker "Romantics"! Wonderful imagination, and brilliantly apt. We will miss the Royals.
Shane warne magicBy: Pooja Lapasia | Friday , 22 May '09 15:20:42 PM Reply | Forward I was moved reading this, I never really like RR but as you said, "They almost forced you to want them to win," was so true. They are a crazy bunch with loads of confidence and some luck too. Warne was absolute magic when he coolly made two very close victories possible this year. But again the semis are still good to watch, with or without RR. Feeling bad about warne, wouldn't want him to retire :(
RajasthanBy: Jay | Friday , 22 May '09 14:46:31 PM Reply | Forward Mr. Bhogle, the Royals are not romantics, more like desert rats; a bunch of mediocre players who ultimately realized their lack of potential.
SuperbBy: Abhishek | Friday , 22 May '09 11:45:05 AM Reply | Forward One of the most beautiful article ever written on cricket. You made RR look romantic sir....
