New Delhi: After reaffirming his resolve to contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha election, former Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat went a step further on Thursday and said he had not felicitated L K Advani when he was elected the NDA alliance’s PM candidate, and that “other senior leaders in the BJP, i  ....Read more

Shekhawat’s hint: I am senior to AdvaniBy: Suresh Rao | Sunday , 11 Jan '09 14:37:21 PM Reply | Forward You are senior Mr Shekawat and so is Mr Advani. So, both of you please retire with you Mr Shekawat showing the way !!!
pm should be elected directly by people and not by the rouges in the parliament who fightBy: sarma | Saturday , 10 Jan '09 10:04:02 AM Reply | Forward shekhawat is more senior and more flipped.do we deserve such nuscence in the indian parliament. shekhawat must know that it is not a chocolate but running the country needs brains and not battling for power with fellow collegues
Advani Vs ShekhawatBy: Hero Vaz | Friday , 9 Jan '09 23:04:23 PM Reply | Forward The pre-election political squabbles have begun in right earnest. Two fossils of the BJP are at each others throats. Talking about only these two - Advani and Shekhawat - and excluding all the 'young' in the Party, Shekhawat seems to be the lesser evil. Perhaps, the Party should rally round Mr.S. Mr. S. should, on his part, to gain support within the Party, do an unprecedented thing, namely, apart from naming himself as the prime ministerial candidate, announce rightaway the names of his Council of Ministers, including the names of the Cabinet Ministers, with their portfolios !!! That should give him a clear advantage over Advani and also an advantage over the Congress Party. What an inventive beginning that would be to an election campaign !
congress terroristsBy: govi | Friday , 9 Jan '09 22:40:42 PM Reply | Forward there is no harm as long as they do not fall scapegoat to the Congress tactics and start fighting with each other. Congress wants the opposition parties to fall flat. They can do nothing for the nation's defense but are only worried about how to defend their party and malign the opposition RSS/Bajrang/BJP/shiv Sena/BSP. they have not got rid of these terrorist Antulays/Ahmeds/Paswan/Lalu/amar singh etc
true workersBy: gerald | Saturday , 10 Jan '09 20:28:41 PM Reply | Forward how can great leaders and true workers be termed as terrorists...people mind ur words before airing ur views
Re-entering active politics.By: suri | Friday , 9 Jan '09 20:28:38 PM Reply | Forward What greed the 86 year old has displayed. After enjoying the fruits of office as CM of Rajasthan and also holding the constitutional post of VP of India, he wants to re-enter politics, as though there are no other young people in India to do so. He should be asked to forego the pension and other perks, including security cover he enjoys as the Ex-VP if he wants to enter active politics. The law should be immediately amended to prohibit ex-Presidents, ex-VPs, ex-Governors and ex-PMs from re-entering active politics. If they do so, the pension, perks and security cover that they are entitled to should be withdrawn. The same should hold good for all those who held other constitutional posts.
Age bar dilemma of BJPBy: Hassan | Friday , 9 Jan '09 16:35:25 PM Reply | Forward All leaders are too old to compete for vibrant India's PM.Advani is already 80 ...so guess how can we young Indians dream a PM who might need a walking stick in near future to move anywhere.hahaha...
Advani has Pakistani linksBy: Jayesh | Friday , 9 Jan '09 15:25:46 PM Reply | Forward I will support Shekhawat. Advani was born in Lahore and worked there for considerable amount of time. He definately has Pakistani links all clear from his statement in Pakistan regarding Jinnah.Shekhawat for me. Advani definately not, due to his pakistani links.Jai Hind
Shekhwat shopuld tryBy: Polls | Friday , 9 Jan '09 13:44:50 PM Reply | Forward Advani ji due to his comment ad many more statement is not really a good chance for BJP, let Shekhwat who is clean and no much into day to day politics should try......manmohan was not into active politics and he wins......
oldiesBy: raje | Friday , 9 Jan '09 15:21:34 PM Reply | Forward Shekawat should contest. He is 100 times better than the useless Advani. Atleat he walks the talk, advani is just talk only, only gas no fire.
Shekawat speaks up By: vimla saini | Friday , 9 Jan '09 13:16:59 PM Reply | Forward A spent force , a dismissed Head constable of Rjasthan police is now asking for probe in corruption charges'. what was he doing in last 5 years when raje' govt was indulging in open coruption ? why he is opening now in view of forthcoming Loksabha elections. Why did he permitted his worthy son in law to remain as minister in the Raje govt for 5 years? All these these are just frustated old men who wish to die as PM although they cand even walk properly. Shame on the nation and our political system
politicsBy: lohit | Friday , 9 Jan '09 12:43:39 PM Reply | Forward well its time for to attain samidhi as described in vedas away from all worldly needs and deeds, he has done his job till now and he has been shown all the respect by giving Vp post, he should now go away from politics and preach for moksha.Well it is not going to hit bjp hardly becuase it has the backing of youth like us and all the BHARATHIYA PRAJA who really wand to see the glory of BHRAT AND HINDUISM.Being secular means not to have a ideology, religions are ideology, Hinduism is the mother of all and most broad minded and flexible. We must take part in declaring Bharat hindu nation and let the individuals to follow what they want, this can happen only when we see full majority to RSS(bjp)
