The defining moment for spead of militancy to the rest of the country was the demolition of the Babri Masjid mosque in 1992 thanks to the BJP/VHP/RSS combine. Tthe Maoists/Naxalites are adding their bit. Now it is the turn ofThird Front, Mayawati, Communists et al to make it worse. It is the bungling of the leading political parties that has led to this situation and now all of them are throwing mud on their opponents and acting holier than thou. The silent majority of the population just waits to see how much further the situation will deteriorate.

It is clear that a large portion of muslim Indians are in tacit agreement with the need to assert themselves by spreading terror. Ms. Chisti's attempts to equate Bangalore and Orissa would be laughable if it was not a sinister attempt on her part to justify the blasts.Even a casual observation will tell you that both Orissa and Karnataka events are a fight between two groups. Bomb Blasts by Islamic groups simply is mindless, one sided murder of innocent people.I am sure Ms. Chisti has the basic intelligence to understand the difference but it does not suit her aim so she has indulged in a white wash job in defence of terrorists and muddying waters as much as she can by bringing in Bajrang Dal ; hinting that Hindus deserve it! Her tone and tenor is not only objectionable, it amounts to directly supporting the "Islamic Jehad" tactic of blasts.
