Approximately 6 months before the war was over, the LTTE warned the people that moving to Government territory would be basically giving in to a life of life imprisonment where the Government would treat them like animals and slowly but surely give them a slow death. At the time, TULF's Anandasangaree brushed it off as LTTE propaganda. Nice to know that he is now repeating exactly what the LTTE predicted. It is also surprising that Theventhran could actually get a statement out to the media. The Gov has an iron grip on any communication with the IDPs. But I guess his statement of "The Tigers kiled my son" included in his statements gave an OK feeling to Gov to release his views.

There is a news blackout even in the Tamilnadu press instigated by the DMK govenment... Now that there is no threat to the DMK leadership with the demise of the LTTE the DMK should at least lend its voice to the freedom of these unfortunate people.

There will be no tamil left in Sri Lanka in another two years time see for yourself.
