Not TerrorBy: Ravi | Thursday , 25 Dec '08 9:13:48 AM Reply | Forward boss, you are using a big word called administrative terror. Please tone down the words. The word terror has got a diffferent meaning in this highly charged environmnet. You cannot term whatever Indian government does as terror.

Income Tax Dept's successes in JBy: Dinesh | Thursday , 25 Dec '08 6:56:36 AM Reply | Forward I T Dept need not gloat over the so called success reflected in the increase in tax collection. May we ask, how many employees of various State, Central, PSUs, Corporate sector are in the list of returnees? The State, especially the Valley, with sprawling mansions and bungalows and flourishing exporters and many business folks and industrialists pays actually a pittance as income tax ! While the Dept has done better, there is a need to treat the income earners in the Valley and the rest of the State at par with how it is done in rest of the country. The fact though is that Centre as well as the politicians tend to adopt a wholly different line...milch those they can and spare those (or overlook if you like) who tend to seem politically a sensitive class. Thats why we have a majority of declared Crorepati Legislators and MPs paying next to nothing as Income Tax while a Babu or an Executive who slogs for almost 14-16 hours each day pays through the nose. When will we improve, if ever!
