What makes the voters to opt for the '49 o'?By: VYSHNAVINEELAKANTAPILLAI | Thursday , 4 Jun '09 16:45:58 PM Reply | Forward the reason why most of the voters opt for "49 O" is the dirty politicians who are found in our society. the citizens of today are highly aware of their voting right. it is the first and foremost duty.if politicians are really clean why should the citizens opt for it? i would always support the view that "49 O" because it enhances the citizen to enhance its right at the same time it also helps him to show his anger towards the candidate whom he trusted that he would do allot in the previous election. right now most of the candidates think that the voters are use and throw type. they just use them during elections and throw them when the candidate wins the election. i am not blaming the entire candidate who contest the election but there are exceptions too. so this '49 o' helps the candidate to show his anger and frustration and to teach a lesson.it is hard to find a clean candidate now that is why we need 49 o..

Elector deciding not to vote. -If an elector, after his electoral roll number has been duly entered in the register of voters in Form-17A and has put his signature or thumb impression thereon as Require under sub-rule (1) of rule 49L, decided not to record his vote, a remark to this effect shall be made against the said entry in Form 17A by the presiding officer and the signature or thumb impression of the elector shall be obtained against such remark....….However, even if the 'no votes' are more than the 'winning' votes, it does not make any difference on the election result.

Pakis worship their dictatorship and have always welcomed them with great enthusiasm and fanfare. Democracy is established only due to pressure from the western world. This democracy is only a facade, the actual power is still excercised by the paki army. Cant you see Shekhar, why the PM of paklstan could not send the chief of the ISI to India? Mumbai like incidents will happen through out India. You Indians need to think what makes people to take such steps. Look in your own backyard you will see what kind of terror was unleased on kashmirs from last 19 years. I am a kashmiri and proud of it. The 5 starrers .. those visiting 5 star hotels like Taj and Oberoi have woken up only now to the terror in Mumbai. Where the heck have they been all these years be it 1993 bombings, or several train bombings.This unfortunately is a very Hindu tendency. None other than Veer Savarkar himself lamented about this in his book ' mala kaay tyache - what's it to me? over 60 years ago, This tendency developed for sake of preservation over centuries under brutal foreign rule (muslim and British) has destroyed our sense of kinship. We as a people do not wake up unless it happens in our backyard. The only good it has wrought is that Indian Muslims who are mostly from the Hindu stock also inherited the same trait and as result have not enmass joined the Jihadist Islamic brotherhood be it in the form of Al-Quaeda or its local variants.
