Accountability in Govt.records-- the new remediesBy: S.M.Aurora | Monday , 17 Nov '08 20:09:14 PM Reply | Forward It is high time that we enforce ISO9001-2000 for management sytems and IS 1600i-2007 for accountability in all govt.departments and statutory organizations to ensure credibility of govt.records. A couple of years ago Dr.APJ AbdulKalam directed DARPG to implement the Indian standard IS 15700-2005 based on International management stadard ISO 9001-2000 in all public service organizations. Now the ball lies with Ms. Pratibha Patil . Let us see how far she is allowed to carry this aim further by Indian politicians

Accountability in Govt.recordsBy: S.M.Aurora | Monday , 17 Nov '08 19:50:05 PM Reply | Forward it is high time we enforce ISO 9001-2000 for management systems and IS 16001-2007 for accountability in planning commision and all other public service government departments and statutory organizations to check reoccurence of such follies and ensure credibility of govt.records : The Quality council of India and the planning commision have already said so and former Indian president Dr. APJ Kalam agreed with them and started this exercise in DARPG.Now the balll lies with Ms. Pratibha Patil

The new remediesBy: Anand | Wednesday , 5 Nov '08 11:45:26 AM Reply | Forward Irrespective of party in power, govt functions in exactly same way since babu's run it while remaining anonymous. But why keep India's citizen anonymous? In 60 years if govt cannot learn names of its citizens, then all such schemes will flow into "unknown" drains and feed corrupt babu's and their favourite contractors. Mr. Shourie has been part of the Govt and he could not convince even his "esteemed" colleagues.
