Two Patil heads rolled after 26/11, one defends the other

New Delhi: A day after RR Patil returned as Maharashtra Home Minister, former Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil praised him as a “young” and “enthusiastic” man who did all “he could have done” during his time in office. Faced with a firestorm of outrage following the Mumbai terror attacks, Shivraj Patil r  ....Read more

Just Do Not Blame People in HurryBy: Pravin | Wednesday , 11 Nov '09 1:37:58 AM Reply | Forward RR Patil is a good and clean person. So many times attempt were made to remove him from the position of Home Minister because he was clean and doing good things which some people do not wanted to be . After 26/11 these people got a arm in their hand and forced him to resign.Only a single slip of toung cost him the job. You need to check the situation at the time of the infamous press release. Get opinions from the Police department about his man. Do't judge him by some articles in newspapers.People always want to blame other people. Thats the human nature. Try to think before giving opinion about some respected persons.
Terror does not matter if total view of vote banks is takenBy: vote bank and terrorism | Tuesday , 10 Nov '09 17:28:07 PM Reply | Forward Pottyl is right. Terrorism does not matter. About 30% of the population is vote bank related by bonds of religion (islam and christianity) to anti Indian terrorists. Of the remaining, a large chunk under the principled stand of leftists, has always considered it their holy duty to break India into many nations so that the subcontinent is amenable to Chinese influence. Among the remaining, we have the likes of Shivraj Pottyl RR Pottyl rest of Congress, MNS, SP, Amitabh Bacchan, his brother Abu Azmi and Amar/Muallayam Sing, etc. Terrorism does not matter for votes if such a total view of the situation is considered, in fact secular parties can use it to show that they have given full freedom of practicing their religion to muslims, christians, and communists.
Dont be shocked?????By: AGNI PUTHIRAN | Tuesday , 10 Nov '09 12:33:09 PM Reply | Forward Dont be shocked that in two years time Dawood Ibrahim the notorious terrorist joins the congress party and becomes the chief minister of Maharastra?????it will happen.
People like Mr Patil must be retainedBy: Sagar Ogale | Tuesday , 10 Nov '09 11:56:58 AM Reply | Forward In our great country of India, very few politicians have dared to make unpopular (in political circles) yet correct decisions. It was RR Patil who banned the open prostitution carried out as "Bar dancing", he was the only home minister to talk about "Police reforms", he ensured there was "ZERO rioting in Maharashtra" under him. The list can continue...... I am not saying that he is "Mr. Clean" but he is "the best of what we have". Remember his rural beginnings and the fact that the comment that he made was only about the intelligence failure in the incident not the entire incident. I belive he is much better than the Rajs, Azmis, Modis, Varuns ... of our country. So why not give him another chance.
He is there because we elected him.By: Anil Kohli | Tuesday , 10 Nov '09 11:50:20 AM Reply | Forward Mr RR Patil re-appointed as the Home Minister in Maha,he had done a wonderful job during terror strike on Nov 26th 2008.After all did he not make light of this attack,as a minor incident in a major metropolis of India,we should learn to live with it.190 lives lost,no consequence we are a nation of billion plus, few lives lost should not galvanize or impel us to rile the political class or demand upgrading of security systems and equipment. The man was removed from this very post on 1st Dec 2008,what has changed now that the person in question is back at the helm of the same ministry.Did the political bosses make a wrong decision on 1st Dec 2008 or is it now?Guess both premise are wrong, the fact of the matter is new mandate has washed away all previous sins.We the electorate, have pardoned all the acts of omission/commission reelecting the same person.Who should bear the burden of this act? Naturally, we the people of Maha.We had the opportunity and the choice we were decisive in our act.
TWO GOOD FOR NOTHING FELLOWSBy: LALITH BHANSAL | Tuesday , 10 Nov '09 11:28:01 AM Reply | Forward TWO GOOD FOR NOTHING FELLOWS R.R PATIL AND SHIVRAJ PATIL WHAT IS THEIR ACHIEVEMENT AS MINISTERS TWO NON PERFORMING MINISTERS WHO WERE KICKED OUT AFTER 26/11/08 ONE MAN IS ALREADY AT THE HELM AS A MINISTER AND THAT TOO SENSITIVE HOME PORTFOLIO WAIT FOR SOME TIME THE OTHER PATIL WILL ALSO BE ACCOMODATED BY THE HIGH COMMAND FOR THE SERVICES RENDERED BY HIM TO THE DYNASTY FAMILY.
two patilsBy: MOHAN DADDIKAR | Tuesday , 10 Nov '09 11:26:16 AM Reply | Forward This uninvited praise of RR Patil by Shivaraj Patil is nothing but his backdoor attemt to compel Sonia Gandhi to forget the past and reappoint him in the Central Cabinet
2 Patils and 26-11-2008By: Sanjiv | Tuesday , 10 Nov '09 10:54:19 AM Reply | Forward Year after passage of 26-11, it is necessary to take a dispassionate view of what happened on that dreadful night. Comparing 26-11 with 9/11 is utter nonsense. 9/11 events are extremely rare. Few terror volunteers opening up their guns at prominent public places is always within the realm of possibility. Given our ineptitude and state of border protection increases the possibility manifold. Neither our internal or external security establishment had carried out any situation analysis is our failure. The fact that these guys were hired guns, hastily trained in some military tactics and were remote controlled and directed from across the order only adds salt to the injury. Consider the situation as if this were an attack launched by some mentally deranged person or a gang of goondas - our whole perception changes. In urban settings, such calamities need to be factored in by the police machinery. They failed.Ministers like RR Patil are honest, decent but incompetent for the job.
Absurd ViewBy: Srinivasan | Tuesday , 10 Nov '09 10:44:17 AM Reply | Forward How do you judge the performance? The very fact this incident happened and the state govt was caught napping is good enough reason for the minister to get the boot. Congress/NCP came to power not becuase of their performance but because there no other alternatives, BJP has lost its ground all over the country due to infighting wake up Mr Minister and admit your mistakes and pray this kind of incidents dont happen in future.
absurd SrinivasanBy: adaamin | Tuesday , 10 Nov '09 12:39:29 PM Reply | Forward so congress came because of non performing BJP..? How many chances did BJP get? for 60 years its been the congress who has been ruling. You blame congress victory because there was no alternative..? None of the above option is still not being implemented by the EC they know why.. and also people like you who never come out to vote shame on you.
RR Patil as home ministerBy: Praful | Tuesday , 10 Nov '09 10:36:45 AM Reply | Forward This is truely disgusting. After Mumbai attacks RR Patil said to mediat that small incidences like do happen and people should not make big issue out of this. Terrorists massacaring 200 men in Mumbai is a small issu? Are you drunk Mr Patil. This is insane. Due to this comment and under public pressure he had to resign last Novermber. He is nominated home minister once again is rediculous. Is Congress leadership sleeping or insane. People of Mumbai and Maharashtra should not accept him and must be forced to resign like last year.
