New Delhi: Samajwadi Party, which is extending support to the government, on Monday joined the opposition in ridiculing the General Budget, terming it as "sour", "trepid" and "unimpressive". BudgetBy: Ivan | Tuesday , 7 Jul '09 9:02:36 AM Reply | Forward Hey Shilpa I agree with all what you say. But and this is very imp to accept that all MPs in India have done is to increase their benefits or purses. India as a country has actually gone behind. Look at all that other nations which were just like smelly slums where they are today. eg Singapore etc. One has to agree that our MPs are nothing but bunch of rogue criminal ppl. Even if they want to improve and uplift India they wont as it will create problems for themselves.
shilpa is rightBy: guruji | Tuesday , 7 Jul '09 3:49:58 AM Reply | Forward Right said Shilpa. Its funny how people are so unappreciative about th freedom that they have got. Mr. Viv you will surely not want to get squashed under a tank in your so called rathayatras and anti minority vandalism parties. Do you? China can get away with all what it does does as it has a strong policy of suppressing everything that its rulers feel anti national. The fact that china is a permanent security council member also gives it the power to do whatever it wants to do within its boundaries. Don' forget that in china press is heavily censored which means the world knows only what china want the world to know about this.. officially they executed about 2000 people last year. Sorry dude you are making up an impression that is illinformed and unjustified.
Bugdet presentation is badBy: freddie (Indian) | Tuesday , 7 Jul '09 0:03:13 AM Reply | Forward Most of the Indian politican who are in power are having falls teeth. First there is no charm when you see them coming on stage. Most of them look like an idiot and money grabber. Those who presented the budget are not well prepared either they are not qualified to do the job or they have no clue what is in the budget. The presentation is so poor they themself feel sick of presenting the budget. I don't understand in what way India is going to be super power. I feel to become super power we will have to wait another century. The Minister comes with a brief case it looks so stupid to see that he is carrying important document to lok sabha. I would like to asked does anyone of the present ruling MP knows how to use a computer or a laptop. If they knew then he/she should be using a laptop to present the budge. What a shame for a country like India. Basically India people are actually living in a country like a prison without committing a crime.
budgetBy: sushil verma | Monday , 6 Jul '09 21:58:10 PM Reply | Forward Is there a budget ever presented that has please everone? Intersting thing about this budget is that both the Rightists (BJP) and the Leftists (CPI) and all other paties in between are unhappy with it. So there ha to be soething good in it.
Yes China has done a great job - dont be jealous....By: viv | Monday , 6 Jul '09 21:40:48 PM Reply | Forward Ms Shilpa - Since you have already agreed on superior chinese executive skills lets talk about Chinese policies versus Indian policies sorry Congress policies.Lost half of Kashmir-1948,lost territory to china-1961,no reaction to butchery of Kashmiri Pandits, continued support for article 370,no uniform civil code, responsible for Sikh Alienation, absolute abandonment of North-east India, paralysed on terrorism emanating from Pakistan,Moaists and Naxals growing violence,no action on millions of illegal immigrants from bangladesh, abusing CBI for political manovering, abandment of POTA to appease vote banks, continued dynastic politics,A nominated Prime Minister.I wont even go on foreign policies - just understand this today Srilanka,Bangladesh,Nepal,Burma and Thailand are more alligned with China than India.
LACK LUSTER ?By: Air Cmde Raghubir Singh(Retd) | Monday , 6 Jul '09 21:15:09 PM Reply | Forward It is good that the Govt has conceded the long over due One rank one pension(OROP) to personnel below officers rank. If concept of OROP has been accepted why deprive the officers-mostly in the winter period of their lives? People had hope of fair play -but it has been Et tu Pranab da! The Sensex has already given reverse gun salute by going down by almost 900 points. It is pointer towards disenchantment
Respect and speak in Mother toungueBy: Pankaj | Monday , 6 Jul '09 20:24:47 PM Reply | Forward I just want to tell about the language used by our finance minister, while telling union budget. This budget is for common people. In congress words "AAM LOG or GARIB JANTA". Mr. finance minister, for your kind information..most of indian can not understand english...you should have spoken in Hindi instead of Enlish.Sometimes our political parties criticised media for their role. But i must say, without media AAM LOG can not understand government policies because of their language. Next time speak in our mother toungue...
Is China's achievement really that great By: Shilpa | Monday , 6 Jul '09 19:35:02 PM Reply | Forward If China's executive skills are amazing how about china's policies? Has it occurred to Mr Vivek that China's progress has come at a great cost to it's people. The lack of democracry, forceful and ruthless implementation of the one-child policy. Internet policing, in China would you be allowed to even express your views about the country's budget? Are the Indian people prepared for such atrocities for the sake of India's progress? Let us look at the whole picture before jumping to conclusions.
Made a joke of indian tax payersBy: ashish pradhan | Monday , 6 Jul '09 19:06:09 PM Reply | Forward There is congress specific vote bank agenda behind most of the fund allocation schemes. So much allocation NREGA is useless in this scenario as still it is applicable to only 110 districts and those also carefully chosen by them. Wish Govt should put money to make people self sufficient rather then giving them free money to vote for them... BJP people forget you can't come back to power again. Congress is anyway building its own fortune at the risk of national interest but is very cautious not to let the poor people know anything.... Great job Pranab babu... Disaster relief scheme for Bengal , also so much for srilankan tamils.... but nothing for flood relief in orissa and bihar... offcourse UPA doesn't have vested political interest there...
