Unnoticed heroes on Mumbai attack: Fire fightersBy: Dr. Paras Deo | Saturday , 29 Nov '08 22:33:47 PM Reply | Forward My congratulations extend to the Fire fighters, without them the inferno would have gutted entire Colaba. They have done an excellent job. They are always there when their help is required...Fire, Flood, animal rescue, help when big accidents take place etc. etc. and let's not forget they are always risking their own lives. They deserve better equipment to cope with terror attacks. I also believe that the Home Guards should be given a better role to play in such situations. They have a similar set up in Germany.India should climb down from the high horse and take lessons in handling terror attacks from the Germans, British and the US Americans. For example there were so many people wounded but apart from medical care did they get any psychological help? In these countries they are a part of the medical team.
