Valley’s LeT Network

The Mumbai attack has put the international spotlight on the Lashkar-e-Toiba. But it is Kashmir that has been the centre of their operation, where they launched their first suicide attack in 1999. Muzamil Jaleel follows the Lashkar trail in the Valley In the scenic valley of Madhumati, a 5-km s  ....Read more

Responsibility of IEBy: Pravin | Wednesday , 24 Dec '08 11:48:28 AM Reply | Forward I have never read many articles on Kashmir. This one had a very different flavor. This one looked more kashmiri but from Pakistan's perspective. Articles like this published in India will help organizations like LET to gain sympathy which they totally don't deserve.
Muzamil Jaleel and his reportingBy: Bharat Saptarshi | Sunday , 21 Dec '08 18:39:36 PM Reply | Forward I am a big time fan of Muzamil Jaleel. He is thorough-bred reporter. It would be my privilege to meet with him some day and shake his hand and say - Keep it up !!!My heart-felt appreciation of his great work as a reporter in extremely difficult situation and terrain.
MuzamilBy: jyoti | Monday , 22 Dec '08 16:05:36 PM Reply | Forward I have met Muzamil and I was disappointed with his thinking. Many of his reports have communal overtones and he has reportedly wrongly about kashmiri pandits
Ler him try Pakistan.By: Venkat Rangachari | Sunday , 21 Dec '08 13:56:07 PM Reply | Forward The author almost seems to jutify LET's involvement in Kahsmit. They are terrorist, doesn't matter Saeed is from Kashmir. Kashmir is given to India, we will keep it. If the author thinks other way, he better go live in Pakistan for 6 months and see what it it to be a pakistani.
ISI and PAK Army support is evidentBy: Satindar | Sunday , 21 Dec '08 10:45:20 AM Reply | Forward One thing is evidently common in all lashkar like formations . That is the active support of ISI and of PAK army which use them for proxy war. PAK govt. pretends to know nothing in such cases. The same has been the mechanism of A.Q.Khan for smuggling of N weapon tech.
LeTBy: Swapan Chakravarthy | Sunday , 21 Dec '08 8:33:48 AM Reply | Forward There is more than meets the eye. The founding of terrorism in Kashmir was a direct outcome of the intervention when Farook Abdullah was dispalced by a coup with his brother in law GM Shah taking over J
Let in KashmirBy: Mahesh | Sunday , 21 Dec '08 2:27:27 AM Reply | Forward I have been reading stories and articles by Muzamil Jaleel for years and get an impression that he is not just writing for Indian Express as a reporter but shares the feelings and grudges of local Kashmiri muslims (not all Kashmiris) against government of india. Instead of going too deep into this subject I would like to know What Muzamil Jaleel expect government of india to actually do by solving Kashmir Problem. Does he expect India to handover Kashmir to Pakistan and then the problem is solved. Is this what they have in mind by saying solving Kashmir problem? He must make himself aware that as far as entire population of India including that of Jammu is concerned there is nothing to solve in Kashmir. Kashmir problem is more like an illusion than real problem. And that too created by Pakistani army and supported by ungrateful Muslim population of Kashmir. When this so called Kashmir problem is solved Muzamil Jaleel will have no more job with IE.
