DrBy: mathews | Sunday , 5 Jul '09 8:19:42 AM Reply | Forward Indian economy needs urgently reforms left,center and right.The communist party could have focused on the burning issues facing the working class in the midst of labour market reforms: exit policy,retrenchment,VRS, informalisation of labour,absence of social security for the informal workers and still could occupy some political space in India...but unfortunately it is spending more time over party issues,power equations....It has a lot to learn from its prediscissors like AKG, EMS who took party interest above individual interest....If the party does not introspect on a serious restructuring of its vision for a globalizing age,chances of it being wiped out canot be ruled out...It seems to happening in Kerala and west Bengal.The leftist forces have still a role to play in correcting the inadequacies of extreme marketism.However The party must give up traditional outlook towards developmental issues.It is sometimes said that" A wise man listens to othrs....good luck and all the best
