‘What Kwame Nkrumah posed as a possibility in the Sixties is now being pushed by Europe as the only way’

Kwame Nkrumah, the first prime minister of independent Ghana, was the original proponent of the United States of Africa dream, a name in history textbooks synonymous with the heady days when the continent was unshackling itself from colonial rule. movie about Dr. Kwame NkrumahBy: philip | Wednesday , 2 Sep '09 23:02:12 PM Reply | Forward It is so lucky for Samia Nkruman to be an MP.I have great respect for Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and his legacey for Adrica .Many Ghanaians have quoted him for what he has done for Ghanaians and Africa. His fight for justice was not only for Ghanaians but for the whole of Africa. Juat a few counties in Africa can mention of independence without Dr.Kwame Nkrumah. But yet his name still stand as the role model of Africa. The question is how can Afica develope? How can we unite? Is it the problem is tribes? Languages or religion? Am seeing the Au as a symbol. If Africans can believe in unity then there is battle ground for the united states of Africa. I would be very impressive if the Hollywood can come out with a movie about D.r kwame Nkrumah. For exmple , his life , family and how he died in exile. Movies can somtimes prove the reality of a hero. I think the Au should let Africa see the strenght they have in the sense of oneness. I hope the spirit of Africa will rise Dr. Nkrumah proud .Thanks
SAMIA NKRUMAHBy: Jayaraman | Friday , 20 Mar '09 11:33:54 AM Reply | Forward It was quite a pleasant feeling reading the interview with SAMIA NKRUMAH. Recently PM of Rep. of Benin visited India meeting Dr. Manmohan SIngh. The whole belt used to be called Gold Coast and Ghana was the first one in Africa to get Independence from colonial masters. I entirely agree with her that Africa needs their own voice. They are genuinely lovable people taken for a ride by the colonial masters exploiting their tribal differences. They have to stand on their own and fight their way out. India certainly can help in that direction. Things that are happening in Kenya and Ghana would bring lot benefits for all. Zimbabwe was the granary country of Africa that stands devastated. If SAMIA NKRUMAH could bring into fusion several African countries that would be most appropriate for a fully ravished continent. I wish SAMIA NKRUMAH best of everything.
