Tata's Pull outBy: Ketan M | Saturday , 4 Oct '08 9:16:45 AM Reply | Forward Why everyone is loosing their sleep, if one of the TATA Industries has moved out. W. Bengal is samll state, need land for agricultures and also need to accomodate influx of Bangladeshi, who are arriving on red carpet spread by politicians.
Great lesson to Tatas and business People By: Bhagwath | Saturday , 4 Oct '08 8:13:54 AM Reply | Forward Great lesson to Tatas and business People who want to enjoy at the expense of the other people.Tatas are behaving as though their own land is snached by somebody. It is Tatas who illegally grabbed land with the govt as broker.Tatas should try to do Business with human ethics and values. We Indians donot need any Nano cars if they cannot do business like that. And we donot need any emploment from tatas at the expense of some poor people. There are many small business people who are willing to do business ethically with human values.
Bengal and its policiesBy: Syamasundara prasad Turaga | Saturday , 4 Oct '08 7:17:48 AM Reply | Forward Dear Editor, it is the magnanimity of Ratan Tata to tell that they are considering to invest in W Bengal, in future, but to my thinking is nothing but a lip service only. I am sure Tata will not come back to ill tempered bengal. Those days of prospority and hospitality by bengalis in general were gone long back. Thanks to the communist rule of Jyotibasu for over 25 years during which bengalis habve learned to oppose only but not accomodating invester to survive there. The slogan " Cholbena" % "Korbena" lety it be the slogan of bengalis and ultimately bengal will become industrial / business DESERT. Still the common people did not realize that by electing Left Parties they set in DOOM for themselves. They donot understand and not willing to listen also. Let Mamta Benerji fully destroy the last straw of development in bengal.
MAMTA THE GREAT!By: M.S. Mantri | Saturday , 4 Oct '08 7:04:10 AM Reply | Forward What a Sad day for indian industry. Almost 1500 Crores going down the drain due to sheer craziness of one woman. And nobody could stop this from happening. How could west bengal govt. let this happen? They just sat in Kolkata watching all Tamasha in Singur and gave Mamta and her goons (read poor farmers) a free hand. Why they could not maintain a law
Nano pull out from WBBy: R.K. Bansal | Saturday , 4 Oct '08 6:24:25 AM Reply | Forward As many of you have said, it is truly sad that WB lost a good project. It is a proof, if one was needed, that Indian politicians know nothing other than strikes and agitations. Communists are masters of that but other parties are not far behind. All political parties place their own interests above peoples interest or that of the nation.
TATA PULL OUTBy: NAGRAJ | Saturday , 4 Oct '08 5:52:48 AM Reply | Forward YES WELL DONE TATA THESE POLITICIANS SHOULD BE TAUGHT A LESSON. THESE POLITICIANS HAVE NO AGENDA AND THEY USE POOR PEOPLE FOR THEIR VOTE BANK POILITICS AND THE LEADERS WHO INITIATED ALL THESE TAMASHA ARE MENTALLY UNSTABLE. EVEN IF TATA'S HAD AGREED IT COULD HAVE BEEN A TORTURE FOR REST OF THE TIME AND EVERY DAY ONE PROBLEM OR OTHER THESE POLITICIANS WILL CREATE. THIS PLACE IS UNFIT FOR DEVELOPMENT.
SEZs over fertile land?By: Arundhati | Saturday , 4 Oct '08 2:14:31 AM Reply | Forward Why do we establish industries over fertile soil. Can we not do this on barren land. It is accepted fact that the barren land always provides strong foundation for the construction. By permitting SEZ to be established over fertile soil we are not helping the matter. A time may come when we may have to import food because we will have no more land left to cultivate. It will not affect people like Tata and Ambani because they can always import the food that they need. They will always have that money.
Thanks MamataBy: Deb | Saturday , 4 Oct '08 2:07:52 AM Reply | Forward I'm happy that TATA moved out. People of WB should suffer for their choice of communists. If you choose garbage then you get garbage....Mamata and CPM are two sides of the same coin. Communists stalled the development of India and now they face the music. Thanks Mamata for teaching CPM a great lesson.
Kudos to TataBy: Pranav | Saturday , 4 Oct '08 1:09:51 AM Reply | Forward You are very right Mr. Tata they cannot put a gun to your head and ask you to work. For people putting up industry are creators of wealth whilst the so called gun toting Politicians are nothing but looters.Enough is enough No more looting will be allowed by the creators of wealth. You put a gun to my head I will stop creating wealth is what the Industrialist should say instead of licking the backsides of so called politicians. If calling a spade spade is said to be arrogance then so be it we the creators of wealth are arrogant at least we do not stoop to be the looters.Mr. Tata has shown you a way me man enough to follow it is my firm advise to present and future creators of wealth
Politics over national interestBy: Chandrakant Marathe | Saturday , 4 Oct '08 0:31:30 AM Reply | Forward Where is the role of the central government?? a government which was so desperate to sign nuclear agreement with USA, Prime Minister and other ministers going to US to achieve their goal but when it comes to national industry problem in a state where their party is not ruling, our prime minister sees no role in salvaging a 1500 crore investment and thousands of emplyment to the people of Bengal. Where is Sonia Gandhi? or UPA is in hand and glow with Mamata Banergy to score political points against communists!!! this shows that interest of country and its people does not matter to our political class. What matters is vote bank and politics of convenience. Is't it proves that the present government is anti national??
