MUMBAI, May 11: Rank outsider Prancing, trained by R Foley and brilliantly ridden by J Abraham, claimed the `Hindu Nilgiris Derby Stakes' (Grade I), the feature event of the season in Ooty today.

Lying a handy second, jockey Abraham brought Prancing smoothly to overtake hot favourite and stable-mate Phantom Quest (C Krishnan-up) and won convincingly.

Trainer Foley saddled five winners, while jockeys Krishnan and Merchant scored a double each.

Four favourites obliged the punters in a card of eight events. The following are the results with the dividends paid at Mahalakshmi and Pune for the 11th day of Udhagamandalam races held on Sunday morning:
