Sixth tribal meet in Nashik

NASHIK, May 11: The Sixth Tribal Literary Conference has been organised by the Adivasi Vikas Vibhag Karmachari Sanghatana and Adivasi Sahitya Parishad in Nashik on May 24 and 25, under the chairmanship of tribal poet Bhujang Meshram. The meet will be inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker P A Sangma.

According to Vikram Gaikwad, organising secretary of the conference, the two-day meet would comprise symposiums on various aspects of tribal development: literature, movements, politics and self-rule, an exhibition of tribal art and craft and a procession. Chief Minister Manohar Joshi and Tribal Development Minister Govindrao Chaudhary will also attend the meet.
