Holidays for blast accused too
UNITED NEWS OF INDIA
May 12: TADA court judge P D Kode today gave permission to 68 bomb blast accused, who are on bail, to visit any part of the state till May 26 in view of the summer vacation in the court. The order was passed after defence advocate Subhash Kanse pleaded that the accused could be granted some freedom of movement so that they could visit their relatives in the state. ``They can even have a small luxury of enjoying a picnic,'' he suggested. Kode granted it and at the same time called on the Arthur Road Jail authorities to look after the health of the remaining 66 accused and if need arises to get them hospitalised during the vacation. Kode was taking all precautions following an incident in which an inmate stabbed himself for not getting adequate treatment. Copyright © 1997 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
