Crime Watch -- Garment shop looted
Garment shop looted Three robbers armed with choppers and revolvers looted cash and gold worth Rs 85,000 from a garment shop at Andheri (East) on Monday evening. The police said Raju Tolani, the garment shop owner, with his employees were conducting regular business, when three men entered the shop with weapons and tied them with ropes. The trio then snatched gold chains and rings and took cash from the cupboard and fled in a white Maruti car. The MIDC police has filed a case of robbery. No arrest have been made. Murder attempt Nine men were arrested for attempted murder in Narpoli, Thane, on Monday. The police said the nine men were arrested for attacking Vijay Shetty, Mahesh Mhatre and Raju Mhatre with sticks and choppers. Mahesh was beaten up badly and was stabbed on his head. He is reported to be serious at the Thane government hospital The officials further said Dilip Patil is an estate agent and had a stressed relationship with Vijay Shetty over the price of a plot in Bhivandi. Dilip and Vijay had an argument over the same issue on Monday at around 9.15 p.m which was followed by the attack. The Narpoli police has filed a case of attempted murder. Robbery Robbers looted Rs 9,000 from a house in Kalyan while the family was away on Monday night. The police said Avinash Joshi's family were away from their flat in the Om Shivam co-operative society, Rambaug no. 4, when the house was broken into. When Joshi returned with his family, he found the door was forced open and the cash was missing from the cupboard.
