Muslim League threat of agitation over quota bill CHENNAI: Indian Union Muslim League will launch a massive movement for reservation of minorities and other backward classes (OBCs) in Parliament, party president G M Banatwala said on Wednesday. Unless reservations for minorities and OBCs were provided for in Parliament, his party would not be able to associate itself with the passage of the Women's Reservation Bill.He said minorities had been listed as a socially disadvantaged section in the constitution and hence reeservation should be provided for them in parliament. Cong violating poll code:JD BHUBANESWAR: The Opposition Janata Dal has charged the ruling Congress with violating the Model Code of Conduct while ``utilising'' the official machinery to work in favour of party candidate Ram Chandra Rath in the Aska Lok Sabha constituency facing a byelection on May 29. In a letter addressed to the Chief Electoral Officer, party general secretary Krushna Chandra Patra alleged that the ruling party used vehicles with red lights and sirens when Chief Minister J B Patnaik and other ministers campaigned in the Constituency recently. Another BSP man killed in UP ETAWAH: A Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) worker Darshan Lal Jatav was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Havelia village in this district on Tuesday night. A police spokesman said here that senior officers rushed to the village following reports of the incident. This is the second murder of a BSP worker in a fortnight.
