DARYAPUR, May 22: The owner of a zunka bhakar centre here has reportedly converted it into a full-fledged restaurant within three days of opening the centre.

According to sources, a hotelier had sought permission for opening a zunka bhakar centre about a month ago. Immediately after permission was granted, a concrete structure came up over the piece of land allotted for the purpose. Soon enough, the zunka bhakar centre, started selling all kinds of dishes, including samosa, and batatawada, apart from zunka bhakar. However, residents allege that the centre owner does not distribute zunka bhakar at all.

The person who started the centre earlier owned a hotel which was demolished in an anti-encroachment drive. Residents are alleging that he opened the zunka bhakar centre to continue his business. Shiv Sena MP Anant Gudhe had inaugurated the centre in the presence of MLA Prakash Bharsakle. Gudhe had expressed his satisfaction over the allotment of the centre to the right person.
