Thermax-Culligan Joint venture

MUMBAI, May 22: Thermax Ltd, a company involved in process heat and environmental engineering and Culligan International Company of USA, engaged in water treatment, have launched a new 50:50 joint venture company called Thermax Culligan Water technologies Ltd with a paid up capital of Rs 14 crore. The company is planning to invest Rs 28 crore over the next 24 months. The company is targetting a market of Rs 100 crore. Thermax Culligan will manufacture and sell a wide range of water treatment products targeted at the domestic, commercial and industrial markets. This range will include domestic water purifiers, point of entry systems (purification systems for residential and office complexes) 5 gallon bottled pure drinking water machines at railway stations and other public places.In the industrial segment, the joint venture will concentrate on water treatment systems for boiler feed water, cooling water and process water used in pharmaceutical, textile and electronic industries.
