MUMBAI, May 29: Actor Sanjay Dutt was today exempted from attending the bomb blast trial till June 9 for professional reasons by additional chief metropolitan magistrate P D Kode.

Dutt, who was released last year after a prolonged stay in the jail on charges of illegal possession of arms, has been attending the trial proceedings frequently.

Today his lawyer Gauri Kulkarni applied for leave since he was required to go for outdoor shooting to Madh island for his film `Safari'.
