CHENNAI, July 31: Gold measuring 9 kg and 800 gms, worth Rs 50 lakh was seized by the police from a van near Maduranthakam in Kancheepuram district, coming from the Meenambakkma airport. Two persons including the van driver, Babu (35) have been arrested and the van was impounded. Investigations revealed that the gold, brought from Singapore was to be handed over to an agent in Thanjavur.
