CHENNAI, July 31: The visiting Southern Command General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Lt. Gen. H M Khanna inaugurated the Bowling Green, an open-air bowling arena on the island grounds, which was originally a marshy stretch of land. He commended the efforts of the Army's Southern State's headquarters in transforming this land into a sports arena. According to Maj. Gen. R S Nagra, General Officer Commanding, ATNKK & G Area, other projects on the anvil include an open-air theatre for officers and jawans, a restaurant, a riding course and other facilties.
