MADURAI, July 31: The bodies of a couple, Tamilselvi (25) and Irulappan (32) were recovered from a ditch near Muthusamiapuram of Virudhunagar district. They were reported missing on Tuesday night, the time of the murder of DMK functionary, Ponnusamy. Investigations revealed that the couple had gone to watch a film in a theatre when the movie was stopped in half owing to tension in the area following the murder. Tamilselvi, the neice of the deceased had wailed on hearing the news, giving away the relationship with Ponnusamy. Hence, the murderers followed the couple and hacked them to death, and later buried them in a ditch.
