MUMBAI, Dec 18: The RBI barred two finance companies from accepting deposits for violation of its various norms on Thursday. Kanpur-based Rich Capital and Financial Services and Bihar Capital Financiers of Patna were barred by the central bank from accepting any form of deposits including those from the existing depositors.

In a release, RBI also directed these companies not to dispose off any assets, including withdrawal of bank deposits/securities. With regard to Rich Financials, the RBI said the company had contravened several of its provisions.
