Bandhu accords zero performance tag to Delhi Govt

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, Dec 29: Accusing Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma of protecting and patronising criminals in the Capital, the chief whip of the Congress Legislature Party in Delhi Assembly, Deep Chand Bandhu, said here today that the city government has failed `miserably' in fulfilling its promises.

Calling the city government ``most inefficient and irresponsible'', Bandhu said that the Congress will move adjournment motion against the government in the forthcoming Assembly session beginning December 29 for its ``zero'' performance.

Bandhu said, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had made 137 promises to the people for improving their lifestyle, but not a single one had been fulfilled.

Talking to mediapersons, Bandhu said that he regretted the fact that the state Congress party has failed to raise its voice against the city government for its failure in taking action against the culprits of the Uphaar and school bus tragedies, which claimed at least 69 lives.

Bandhu said: ``The Pradesh Congress as well as the MLAs, who are a part of the organisation have not received any direction from the national leaders to launch an agitation against the Bharatiya Janata Party government.''
