Inter-club TT from Jan 12The Bombay District Table Tennis Association (BDTTA) will be organising an Inte- Club/Gymkhana league for Mumbai Clubs/Gymkhana from January 12. The league for second to fourth division will be played on home and away basis.The women's league will be played at the University Sports Pavilion, Marine Lines from January 27. Entries can be sent to the association office at Brabourne Stadium latest by January 5. Entries will be accepted at the association office on January 1, 2 and 5 between 6 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.
Inter-Schools basketball
The Mumbai Schools Sports Association will hold the Inter-Schools basketball tournament for boys and girls from Jan 5 to 9.
The tournament sponsored by Thums Up will be restricted to players under 13 at will be held at the MSSA-Castrol Schools Sports Centre, Azad Maidan.Participating schools may collect the copy of draws from the Association office.
Schools handball from Jan 20
The Mumbai Schools Sports Association will
hold the Inter-Schools handball tournament for senior boys and girls (under-16) from Jan 20 to 23 at the MSSA-Castrol Schools Sports Centre. Entries close on Jan 9.
MSDAAA teams for State event
The following athletes have been selected to represent Mumbai Suburban District Amateur Athletic Association (MSDAAA) in the under-22 State Championships to be held at Solapur on January 10 and 11, 1998:
Boys under-22: Navin Fernandes (capt), Biju Thomas, Amol Kedare, Chandra Verma, Nilesh Jadhav, Narvir M, B Dubey, Devendra Singh, Dennis D'Costa, Anand Menezes, Ashish Gupta and Harbhushan Singh.
