Patel downplays ambiguous stand on RJP

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
AHMEDABAD, December 30: The Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee chief C D Patel sought to play down any notion of differences between the party's state unit and the high command over the question of allying with the RJP in the forthcoming elections.

He said he was confident that the contradiction would be resolved soon.Patel told reporters that he was very clear about his stand on entering into an electoral adjustment with the RJP. ``Vaghela has ditched us twice and no way would we enter into any sort of alliance with him'', he said, adding that this was not his personal viewpoint but that of a majority of state Congressmen.
