CHENNAI, December 30: The general council of the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) will meet on Wednesday (December 31) at Chennai to decide on the expulsion of party president Professor A Dheeran.Dheeran was suspended from the party's post and primary membership on December 22 after he came out in open against the alliance forged by the PMK with the AIADMK-led front. The suspension order was passed at the party's Political Affairs Committee (PAC) at a meeting held this month.In the meantime, Dheeran has challenged the PAC decisoin saying that his suspension is not valid and unconstitutional. Citing the party constitution, Dheeran said he could be suspended only by the general council and not by the PAC.
