Down by the waterfront
Banganga -- where once there were over a hundred soaring spires outlined against the skies is now crowded out by high-rise warrens, clustered around the 2,500-year-old water tank. Banganga's tank itself is a dark shallow green, the socio-cultural hub of this little temple town. There could hardly be any other piece of real estate in Mumbai so soaked with myth and history.

Now, beaches are for students' exams
Beaches are for family picnics, moonlight barbecues, sunbathing...and exams. In a unique educational experiment, students of the Mahatma Gandhi Mission Management Institute, Nerul, took their semester examinations in December on Kalwa beach, about 120 kms off Mumbai mixing serious studying with loads of fun.
