School alumni for blood info centre
PANCHKULA, January 15: The Old Boys Association of D.C. Model School, Panchkula has planned to come up with a ``Blood Information Centre'' in the township. The decision to this effect was adopted at a meeting, organised by the Association here today.Briefing about the concept of the proposed centre, the convener of the Association, Bharat Bhushan Gupta, said that they intended to compile a comprehensive data of all the regular and new blood donors of the township.The data would include the details of blood group of the each donor besides other blood-related information, he added. The door-to-door survey has already begun. uCNen taken off to identify the prospective donors in the township, the centre will help extending charity services to all the poor and needy patients at PGI and other hospitals in the area, revealed Gupta.
