  The music maker
"Music is in my blood. It's my life." Himesh Reshammiya grew up with music. He's the son of the illustrious musician, Bipin Reshammiya and he's been singing since the age of two. Ironically enough, the 26-year old Reshammiya has achieved fame as a television producer, rather than as a music composer with serials like "Andaz, Amar Prem, Nirma Aaha" and now "Dum Duma Dum." But he's all set to change the equation.
  It's the same old...successful story
The story is an old one - it has been played out so many times. Still, actors play it again and again and again: they weep at the same old family tragedies, they live dutifully by old fashioned values, stick to ancient beliefs with the same blustering, toad-faced doggedness of so many before them and pay tribute to yesterday by living in the past. Now this sad old tale - "Amanat" - is running on Zee TV every week notching up impressive TRP ratings on the People's Meter of over 12 in Mumbai and around 20 in Delhi.

"I wanted to be first woman president of the US"
The gleaming Omega watches on display ticked away, waiting for supermodel Cindy Crawford to make her grand entry. When she finally did, she smiled and played the celebrity to the hilt. Speaking to media people she said that "initially I wanted to be the first woman president of the United States. But going by the recent reports, it is not such a good job after all".

Poor politics
If only politicians played cricket, they'd be so much more entertaining to watch. This fantastic scenario may be rather pathetic after the Indian cricket team's Dhaka Dusk Delight (DD1), but it is a whole sight more interesting than watching our politicians speaking on TV. `Boring' is too polite a word, `dull' too short to describe their lengthy appearances.
The chosen one
Mark Tully has been chosen by Sony television to cover the coming general elections. Tully in his turn has roped in Vinod Dua for the election coverage as he felt that Dua was provided both entertainment and information.
