MUMBAI, JAN 29: Unseeded Pratim Parikh upset second seed Vivek Jhaveri to enter the under-16 boys semi-final of the Priyadarshini Park Junior Tennis tournament today. Pratim won 6-1, 6-3. Top seed Akshay Tanna, Garyl Fernandez (fourth seed) and Rohan Gajjar (sixth) were the others to make it to the last four.In the girls section, Isha Lakhani marched past Kalpita Raje 6-3, 6-2. Sonal Phadke, Megha Vakharia and Lisa Pereira also sailed through.

Sanjay nets brace
Sanjay Suryavanshi's two goals helped Greater Mumbai Police (GMP) defeat Ave Maria 2-1 in a first Division match conducted by the Hockey Association of Mumbai at the St Andrew's ground, Bandra. GMP took lead in the 14th minute when Suryavanshi scored a field goal off a pass from left flank. Vincent Periera scored the equaliser in the 38th minute for Ave Maria. But Suryavanshi scored the match-winner for GM Police in the 44th minute.

MNB Industrial Home for the Blind, Jogeshwari emerged winners at the National Sports Club of the Blind organised 2nd State Level Kabbadi Tournament for the Blind at the Shramik Gymkhana recently. Maharashtra Sports Association of the Blind, Nagpur finished runners-up.
