MUMBAI, February 9: The board of Aptech Ltd has recommended a bonus issue in the ratio of 1:1. The company has also declared 30 per cent dividend for 1997.Its turnover for the year has gone up to Rs 202.20 crore from Rs 163.29 crore, an increase of 24 per cent. The gross profit has showed a steep rise of 54 per cent to Rs 31.83 crore compared to the last year.
The company has provided much higher amount of depreciation at Rs 5.07 crore.The profit before tax has gone up by 42 per cent from Rs 18.81 crore to Rs 26.76 crore. After making a provision for tax of Rs 6.14 crore, the profit after tax has gone up to Rs 20.63 crore from Rs 17.01 crore, a rise of 21 per cent. The earning per share works out to Rs 36.93 compared to Rs 30.46 last year.
