City NSUI chief follows his father, joins BJP

United News of India
February 9: Sanjay Patil, president of the Mumbai unit of National Students Union Of India (NSUI), the student's wing of the Congress, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the presence of Chief Minister Manohar Joshi and all-India BJP general secretary Pramod Mahajan at Mulund, North-East Mumbai last night. Patil's father Dina Bama Patil, a former Congress corporator joined the BJP last week. The decision of Sanjay Patil's entry into the BJP was made by Mumbai BJP president Kirit Somaiyya at a election meeting at Mulund ( east). Speaking to reporters at the BJP office, Patil blamed the Congress party for the political uncertainty in the country and said only a BJP government led by Atal Behari Vajpayee could provide a stable government at the Centre.
