Table Dudhat panel report in Assembly: Sutar

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
PUNE, March 28: Visibly annoyed at the treatment meted out to him by the Shiv Sena-BJP leadership, former Agriculture minister Shashikant Sutar today sought to embarrass Chief Minister Manohar Joshi demanding that the Dudhat Commission report exonerating him (Sutar) now be tabled before the legislature.

Speaking to The Indian Express, Sutar also demanded that an inquiry be instituted now to look into his charges against Anna Hazare whose allegations of corrupt practices against him had led the State Government appointing the Dudhat Commission and his sack from the State ministry.

This paper sought clarification from Sutar on a report emanating from Mumbai that at a meeting of the Shiv Sena legislators on Monday, he had demanded that the chief minister should face a commission of inquiry. Sutar taking a strident posture at a time when the Sena leadership is busy in a damage-control exercise following levelling of corruption charges against Manohar Joshi by the Congress raised many an eyebrow back inhis native Pune.
