Stir against MBBS entrance test planned

AURANGABAD, March 31: Opposition to the proposed common entrance examination for admission to the MBBS course is fast gaining momentum with parents, students, legal experts and academicians coming on a common platform to launch an agitation beginning April 2. Senate member of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Vasant Kale has decided to lead the agitation alongwith Gangadhar Pathrikar, Dr D D Shinde and Dr Alok Ahirwadkar.At a discussion held here last evening, most speakers opined that filing a writ petition in the Supreme Court will be affected by the decision would not serve much purpose unless the cause was backed by a strong agitation.
