BANGALORE, MARCH 31: ITI maintained a clean slate, securing a 2-1 against BSF, while Kerala Police drew against Sesa Goa in the Second Division National Football League Inter-Group play-off matches here today.ITI dominated the first half and scored the first goal in the 20th minute. R C Prakash positioned himself neatly for a header off Ravibabu's flag kick from the left flank.
BSF had more chances in the second half compared to the first. However, ITI increased their lead when substitute U Babu, who came in for Prakash in the 59th minute, shot the second goal for his team.
BSF managed to score a goal in the 80th minute from a simple header by Haribindar Singh off Raghbir Singh.
In the other match, Kerala Police drew against Sesa Goa 1-1. The Goans struggled without Alvito, their star forward, but Mohammad Hassan and Abdul Ghani tried hard to put pressure on the opponents.
Sesa got the first goal from Michael D'Sa in the 37th minute off a pass from Mohammad Hassan from the half-line. Alex Abrahamfailed to block and clear the ball and Michael made used of the opportunity to earn his team the lead with a left-footer.
The equaliser came in the 70th minute for Kerala Police when substitute Habeeb Rehaman took an intilligent header off Noushad's pass.
ITI tops the table with 10 points from four matches (three wins and one draw). BSF have three points from four matches (three draws and one loss).
