India need to buck up

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
SYDNEY, April 13: India, which ended third among four teams after the first leg of the Colorado Cup hockey tournament here, would have to pull up their socks and come with better performance in the second-leg starting at Melbourne on Wednesday.

After a good performance in the lung-opener against New Zealand winning 2-1, the Indian team's form went into a tailspin as they went down to the South American champions Argentina 2-0 and hosts Australia 5-2, earning just three points. Hosts Australia (9 points) top the standings with a all-win record in the first league followed by Argentina (6), India (3) and New Zealand (0).
