VAT from next financial year

NEW DELHI, April 24: Delhi finance minister Prof Jagdish Mukhi today said that Value Added Tax (VAT) will come into force in the Capital from April 1 next year. Although the Delhi government had completed the groundwork to enforce VAT from the current financial year, it was decided to postpone the implementation of the scheme by a year following discussions with seven other states.
