Raghuvanshi elected Bar Council chairman
Advocate Rajendra Raghuvanshi was yesterday unanimously elected chairman of the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa, a statutory body regulating the activities of more than 40,000 professional advocates in the two states. Raghuvanshi was elected in the first meeting of 25 council members held after last month's general elections.
Gen Secy of Nashik Cong unit resigns
Congress' Nashik city unit general secretary Bhagan Bhoge has tendered his resignation in protest against the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president Ranjit Deshmukh, joint secretary Jaiprakash Chhajed and city unit president Murlidhar Mane. The squabble within the city unit came to the forefront when Bhoge accused all the three of dictatorial style of ruling.
