CALCUTTA, May 2: The Rajiv Gandhi Under-21 international football tournament might finally take place, after all the hiccups. The All India Football Federation today released the fixtures for the tournament to be held in Goa from May 5.Initially scheduled for April 30, the meet had to be postponed as the participants had not been finalised. The four-nation tournament will now have Iraq, Bangladesh and Uzbekistan as the foreign teams. India will open their campaign against Iraq on May 5. Bangladesh are a last minute replacement for Iran, who had earlier confirmed their participation in the tournament.
The final will be played on May 14. The Indian team has been practicing at a camp in Goa for quite sometime now.
FIXTURES
ay 5: India vs Iraq.
May 7: Iraq vs Uzbekistan; India vs Bangladesh.
May 9: Iraq vs Bangladesh.
May 10: India vs Uzbekistan.
May 12: Uzbekistan vs Bangladesh.
May 14: Final.
