Latur took a 8-5 lead in the first quarter when the regulars of Pune were sitting out. However in the second quarter, Pune tightened their defence giving no room for Latur. Suresh Bhosle of Latur who scored five points in the first quarter was rested in the second as Pune took four points lead (14-10) at half time. The third quarter saw Bhosle come in action again and score six points. But this was not enough as Pune won 18-16. The last quarter saw Pune concentrating on defence and managed to hold the lead.

In an exciting encounter, Bombay central boys beat the fighting Kolhapur side by just two points (14-12). the tall captain of Bombay Central -- Robin Rodrigues was the architect of this victory. he guarded both the boards and scored half of his teams tally. He was ably assisted by thetiny ball handler Anchit Desai and Akshay Ganesh.
